2017 NARC Board had a celebration of John Stracka outgoing president. Treasurer - Mark Medford read a loud John's contributions with funny anecdotes, efforts through Canine Health Foundation and listed many of John's accomplishments. Upon conclusion of Mark's speech the room gave a standing ovation for John Stracka.

Randy Spangler announced this was the 60th Anniversary of the first NARC in June 1957. 36 retrievers ran this event back then. The 10th Series was a triple the birds were at a distance of 15 yards, 40 yards, and 25 yards. The Winner was named "Major IV." For this event we have 138 dogs entered an all-time record for the 60th Anniversary of the 2017 NARC in Mondovi, WI
Randy Spangler announced that he and Pete Hayes have started a new tradition for the NARC - a RED NARC hat that will delineate those who are MVP volunteers and specially recognize those throughout the event.

The first 25 Handlers can view the Test Dogs from the line
The next 25 Handlers can then view the line and last anyone else who would like to view the line may do so.
After the 10th Series there will be another callbacks to Announce the Finalist

Believet trains for four types of disabilities. Psychiatric, Mobility, Loss of Hearing, and use and healthcare educational settings. We were encouraged to donate to this worthwhile organization.
