LR - Swimming angling left of the holding blind and swam to far shore, got out made one pass and worked inward toward the bird, then got deep again - was handled to the bird

MR - running at the holding blind, got deep and right of the fall and was handled to the bird

Got corner of water, across the point, two casts in field, deep of pond two casts to the bird

Flyer - PERFECT!!!

Water - Down and across driving up middle hill - turned back left and way way wide right - back down hill to the bird

Hill - Out on a line that brushed flyer fall but kept going up hill with angle towards flyer fall - up next hill to the fall area then the bird

Land - 1 quick whistle to adjust line - next whistle on end of mound; 2 more and got his bird

Water - 4 casts to get in water; 2 over point and back in; 1 or 2 more to the bird

Flyer - Went right up by guns then worked it out quickly

Right - Into cove on left over 1st point taking a hard angle right.  Swam right heading past right guns going deep.  Came in behind guns and Got It!

MR - Wide left but bowing in towards blind - Got deep but came back and got it!

First Thing Is First Part 3

We are gathering the information on how many first-time handlers we have competing in the 2017 NARC.  If you are a first-timer please seek out one of the news team members and share your first-time experiences with us.

Here we have Retriever Enthusiast - Wayne Anderson and his dog Pistole. Wayne was kind enough to volunteer as an Official Announcer for this years event.  Welcome aboard, Wayne.  Another fun fact, is that Pistole is the only Golden Retriever competing in the 2017 NARC.  Pistole is one of the old timers at this National at the ripe age of 10.5 years old.  Wayne  Anderson has been involve running field trials 28 years ago and this is his first time competing on this National stage! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

LR - Out thru trees to bird - Nice Job!
LMR - STRAIGHT to the bird.  GOT IT!
